We are a small boutique shop with 5 artisans building your FIELD-1 Timer as efficiently as we can without sacrificing quality, attention to detail, and performance - you should expect wait times of 1 to 2 weeks.
From your initial order to our in-house packaging, your FIELD-1 Timer is built for you. Once you place your order, your watchmaker builds your mission timer every step of the way. Because we offer a few distinct models we strive to maintain an inventory of “small batch” pieces in stock. While every attempt is made to shorten the time frame of your custom timer build process, manufacturing can take up to 14 build days depending upon the complexity of your timer.
FIELD-1 Movement
Your FIELD-1 Mission Timer is manufactured with a precision Swiss movement:
- Swiss Automatic: ARES currently uses ETA Swiss movements for our automatic DIVER-1 (ETA 2824) that are assembled, timed, and regulated by ARES watchmakers, including perlage & finishing.
- Swiss Super Quartz: LASTS 10X longer than standard quartz watches. ARES uses the 715Li 5-jewel gold plated Swiss analog quartz, manufactured by Ronda, with a 10-year lithium-ion battery and End-of-Life indicator.
FIELD-1 Case, Caseback, Crown & Bezel
- Turned from a solid bar of 316L stainless steel in Ogden, UT
- Hand finished in bead blast Urban Stainless
- 41.0mm single piece case with individually serialized, engraved, screwback construction
- 42.0mm fixed bezel
- 49.5mm lug to lug 22mm drilled lugs with 1.8mm shoulderless spring bars, supplied with a Deep Black ARES Rubber strap with matching hardware
- 10 o’clock ‘fat head’ 7.2mm logo’d screw down crown, featuring aggressive ‘no slip’ teeth and double Viton seals:
- 13.3mm overall thickness
- 3.3oz total weight with LASH strap
Crystal, Dial & Hands
- Domed sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective AR coating
- Brass dial with Super LumiNova C3 printed hour indicators, painted minute indices and logo
- Brushed hands with C3 in brushed stainless
Performance & Testing
- Individually tested and certified, fully assembled, to 35BAR = 350M.
- Anti-magnetic rating 18.8Oe, shock resistant to NIHS-91-10 standards, and thermo-compensated -0 to 50+ C
LASH & Rubber Straps
FIELD-1 Timers arrive on a matching strap, as follows:
- Automatic = Deep Black Rubber with Urban stainless hardware
- Quartz = LASH Ballistic Nylon in Deep Black with Urban stainless hardware
FIELD-1 Packaging
All Quartz FIELD-1 Timers arrive in a custom MAGPUL+ARES case featuring the model of timer, and serial number. All automatic FIELD-1 Timers arrive in a Pelican RUCK 20 case, personalized with your name, model of timer, and serial number.
